Due to current advice from both the government and the governing body that insures my business, unfortunately I am unable to provide Pilates classes in person until further notice.
I will therefore be temporarily moving my business online to offer virtual classes and personalised home exercise plans. All existing class passes and memberships have been placed on hold until face to face classes resume. If you have any questions, please get in touch – firstname.lastname@example.org
I started strength training over 10 years ago and since then have been keen to educate myself on the science and methodology behind effective and efficient movement patterns. My goal is to never stop learning!
As a Pilates Instructor and Level 4 Sports Massage Therapist, I am passionate about helping people to move well and free from aches and pains. After letting a combination of injuries and a sedentary/high pressure job impact my physical health, I made the decision to follow my passion for helping others and set up Optimal Health (OH) Sports Therapy. As well as treating injuries, the main focus of my business is to help you prevent getting injured.
Pilates is the perfect solution for injury prevention as you will learn to develop a solid foundation of strength and stability, how to control your movement patterns and how to build a greater ‘mind muscle’ connection. This is especially important for those who exercise, but will also help prevent injuries that occur during everyday tasks e.g. carrying your children, picking up objects, sneezing…
As someone with an active mind, I love how Pilates allows can help you de-stress in the complete opposite way to yoga. Instead of reducing stress through relaxation, we can reduce stress through stimulation! There is so much to think about during every exercise that there’s no time to think about the outside world.
