Postnatal Yoga/Pilates

Postnatal Yoga and Pilates is a perfect way to start gently exercising after you’ve had a baby. Our classes are 90 percent for mum with a little baby yoga and massage at the end for the little one.

These classes include yoga to warm up the body in a gentle way and to help unwind areas of tension that may have built up during pregnancy, birthing and postnatally. We concentrate on areas such as the shoulders, neck, back and hips , all of which can get particulary uncomfortable postnatally.

We then move onto some healing Pilates type exercises specifically designed for the postnatal body to help with diastasis healing, pelvic floor weakness (or tightness) and to help strengthen areas that may have become weak during pregnancy such as the glutes and pelvic muscles.

We finish with some lovely songs, baby yoga and a little massage for baby as well as a well deserved relaxation for mum.

Yes you can. Our classes are designed so that you can bring baby along , we create a relaxed atmosphere so if you need to feed, change or care for baby in anyway during the class you feel relaxed to do so. We provide a play mat and some toys to help keep baby occupied , but you may also want to bring a blanket or cushion for baby.  We encourage you to come when you feel comfortable being in a class atmosphere with baby.

You can start after your 6-8 week check from your GP after a vaginal birth and 8-10 weeks post c-section. Please contact us if you have any doubts or queries,

Classes are £55 for a block of 6 , we can however have drop-ins if you don’t think you can make all 6 and we have space. Drop-in is £10

Classes are supported by free online videos in the Well Fit Mumma yoginis and babies facebook group as well as handouts on diastasis and pelvic floor healing postnatally.

All clients receive £10 off postnatal physio checks (mummy MOT) with Well Fit Mumma Physiotherapy.

Wear comfy clothes, bring baby a blanket/ cushion and maybe some toys. You may also want to bring a water bottle for yourself.

We provide mats, props etc .

Lucy is from Norfolk and trained in Massage + Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda in Spain (Yoga Alliance Certified). Her passion is to share the gift of yoga and massage to help people use it to find their happiness, balance and express themselves. She creates wellbeing classes, events, retreats, SUP Yoga locally and internationally for families, pregnancy, babies, children, teens, adults, special needs and elderly.
