Affirmations to boost every part of your mind, body and life

Need to ease stress? There’s an affirmation for that! Same for boosting your confidence, calming your mind, improving your relationships and even boosting your career! Here’s a few of our favourites and to use them to get maximum results.

An affir-what now?

An affirmation is a positive statement – usually just a single sentence or two – that enables us to focus and reflect on the people, feelings and things that we wish to change or draw into our lives. Practiced regularly, they can be an incredibly powerful way to increase your confidence, self-esteem and can even help you to ditch negative habits or thought patterns.

You can use them to start your day in a positive, reflective way, or as a way to ward off negativity by focusing only on the thoughts that make you feel good.

The most effective affirmations are focused on a single thought, aspiration or goal. They work best when written in the present tense and spoken aloud several times in a row.

But how can an affirmation change my way of thinking?

When you say an affirmation over and over again, it sends a message to your Reticular Activating System (RAS) that this is something that’s important to you. Your mind then reacts, pushing the thought to the forefront of your awareness and and kicking your motivation into gear.

Affirmations can be a powerful tool to help you change your mood, state of mind, and manifest change. They work best if you can first identify the negative belief that you are trying to overcome.

To find the best and most effective affirmation for you, it can help to start by writing a short list of qualities and thoughts you have which you consider negative.

Things like…

  • I’m really impatient with my children
  • I can’t stop eating junk food
  • I’m not clever enough to succeed in my career
  • I never have enough money

Once you’ve identified these negative thoughts you can find or create an affirmation to counteract them and transform those negative thoughts into positive energy!

Like this…

  • I am a calm and patient parent
  • I fill my body with healthy food that nourishes me
  • I have everything I need to succeed in my career
  • My life is abundant, money flows easily to me

Rowan House is now under new ownership and will be going through a stage of transition.  Whilst a large proportion of the building will be converted into a veterinary practice the front of the building will be reconfigured into a 6/7 roomed office/therapy suite centre.  We (the original owners) are working closely with the new owners to relocate as many of our long standing practitioners into this area, should they wish to stay.  To find out more about existing and previous therapists and their plans please follow the link to our practitioners page.

If you have a voucher for the centre then you can either use these in Kin Café up until Christmas, or they can be refunded.  To request a refund please email accounts@rowanhousecentre.co.uk by 23rd December 2021, stating the voucher number, expiry date and voucher amount. Any vouchers not used or refunded by 23rd December will become invalid.

The new owners are currently looking for the perfect new operator who would like to take over the lease at Café Kin as an ongoing business concern.  In the meantime the café will continue to be run by the existing staff but with a reduced menu and opening hours.  If you are interested in knowing more about running the café space from Rowan House please email admin@wymondhamvets.com.
