Hypnotherapy Norwich

Hypnotherapy is a complementary therapy that uses hypnosis.

Hypnosis is an enhanced state of awareness where the conscious mind is repressed and the subconscious mind bought to the foreground allowing change to be made in the form of new thoughts and responses, attitudes, behaviours or feelings.

Contrary to some belief a hypnotherapist does not put people into a deep sleep, and the client cannot be made to do something they do not want to do.

A hypnotherapist assists clients to make prior agreed positive changes. This is achieved by altering the consciousness state of the client to a degree where the analytical left-hand side of the brain is subdued, whilst the right-hand side, the non-analytical is made more alert to the positive beneficial suggestions being made.

The client remains fully aware of their surroundings and usually experiences a profound state of enjoyable deep relaxation.

Hypnotherapy has been found to be helpful treating isuues such as; Stress and anxiety, addictions, fears and phobias, insomnia, obsessional compulsive disorders, panic attacks, weight, smoking and lack of confidence to name but a few.

Hypnotherapy sessions usually last approximately 1 hour.

In some cases such as smoking cessation, sessions may take longer due to the processes undertaken but this will be discussed with the hypnotherapist in advance.

This is dependent on your individual circumstance and the complexity of the issue being tackled.  Hypnotherapy can often be a relatively short process.

Many issues such as smoking, some phobias, confidence issues, relaxation etc. can be resolved in as few as 1-2 sessions with the majority of people finding that after 3-4  sessions they can be back on track with new found confidence and wellbeing.

The proposed number of sessions will be discussed in advance with the hypnotherapist and reviewed after every session.

Initial 30 minute consultations are free.

1 hour Hypnotherapy sessions are £60.
